The Falstaff Gourmetclub was founded by Wolfgang Rosam in 2004, and currently has 17,000 members (recorded in December 2012).

The membership is exclusive to the select private and business customers of the Club's three principal sponsors ERSTE Bank, T Mobile, and the Vienna Insurance Group.

All Falstaff Gourmetclub members receive a subscription to Falstaff Magazine, as well as the Falstaff Restaurant Guide and the Falstaff Wine Guide (optional). There are currently 17,000 members, making Falstaff Gourmetclub the largest and most influential gourmet community in Austria.


17,000 MEMBERS TEST THE RESTAURANTS

The Club members visit an array of restaurants and eating places during the course of the year and give them a rating by adhering to the standard 100 point system; either via sms text message, by completing a questionnaire or via the Club homepage. All of the individual ratings are recorded and counted together, resulting in a total number of points for the more than 1,000 best restaurants in Austria. There are an additional restaurants from significant European cites included in the web-version of the 2012 guide as well.


The Falstaff Gourmetclub also runs a wide selection of tastings, dinners and other attractive gourmet events for its members, and is permanently active with activities throughout Austria.
